About Living Hope…

The Practice

The truth “Jesus is our living hope at all times and in every way” is the foundation that each of us needs to build our life on! 1 Peter 1:3. Through Him, we can become spiritually transformed, renewed and set apart with a purpose.

But what if you feel stuck! You know the bible but things aren’t working the way “they are supposed to”? What then? That is why I am here! Together, as we bow low, we’ll hear Him calling you to come, “come know and experience Me in ways you have never known.”

God lavishes his mercy on us, his children, and wants us to live out the hope we have in Christ, with joy. He is with us and for us, and is our very present help even in trouble.

My desire for you through effective counseling is that you would confidently: find hope in Christ alone, walk in His ways being led by His Spirit, and embrace the reality that God will be faithful to bring you through this current trial, accomplishing your good and His glory! God is inviting you to know Jesus right where you are.

The Counselor

Carol Fontenault, M.A.-PC

Board Certified, Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors (BCPPC)

I would love the opportunity to share this part of your journey, listen to your story, encourage you with God’s Truth, and help you connect or re-connect with God in such a way that you find hope, peace, healing, and strength. No matter what your past or present situation is…God invites you to come and draw near.

Bio…

I began counseling in 1991 serving many women, men and families discover or re-discover God’s presence and help for their life’s situation. Though I did not initially set out to become a counselor, it seemed wherever my family moved, women would ask me to help them find hope and encouragement for their situation from God’s Word. After seeking God’s heart for each person or family, I sensed a calling on my life to love and help those who found themselves in hard places to find hope from God’s love, nearness and truth. I studied biblical counseling with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (formerly NANC), earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling with a strong focus on Marriage, Parenting and Family, and became Board Certified through BCPPC, (Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors).

I am passionate about God’s desire for all of His children to know Him and experience the abundant life that Christ brought for us who believe. My approach to counseling is a solution-focused process that provides skills, insight and opportunities for growth in all areas of life: mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Some key areas of focus include: spiritual growth and direction, identity, insecurity, fear and anxiety, grief and depression; additional areas of expertise include: women’s concerns, marriage and relationship matters; sexual abuse; teen and children’s concerns and direction.

Conviction…

As you can see, the list of life challenges can be endless and overwhelming. As a counselor, I acknowledge my limitations and wholeheartedly depend on our Sovereign, all-powerful and faithful Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ, to complete the work He has begun in each one of us. (Ephesians 1:6)

Joyfully,

Carol
